In this series of posts, we will highlight the most exquisitely fascinating artworks and inspiring images crafted by one of the most talented artist from the design community.
Sheena Aw, a mad motion graphic designer/video editor by day and a candyland superhero by night from Singapore, is our featured artist of the day. She was also known as Caramelaw. She’s an adventurer, a dreamer and a monster creator. After a hard day’s work in the office during the day, Caramelaw retreats into her studio for a bit of action, making candyart, customizing vinyl toys and dolls.
Making candy art wasn’t what she thought she would do way in the beginning when she was still a young-ling. She did a lot of random stuff, manga and comics but never felt connected with it. Therefore Caramelaw began exploring other areas of illustration and stumbled upon Takashi Murakami’s work. Which woke her little heart up. She felt so inspired she started work on it right away. “My World of Madness” was the 1st piece of artwork that set of the Caramelaw style. Everything else that followed was history.
Take a look at her work below and tell us your favorite sweet candy art designs.
