Silhouette photography is a product of accident shots under the circumstances of sunset and/or sunrise resulting to any image consisting of their outline. Unlike wedding photography which shows the beauty and intense result of the photographs, silhouette photography is best when photographers want to have a mystery image.
Learning to control natural light sources in photography is one of the key elements that every photographer should know in making silhouetted shots as it is the primary source of illumination. Unlike fireworks photography wherein the light is your subject, the role of light in silhouette photography is like of a helper.
Silhouette photography requires an intermediate photography skill as the technique itself is a little tricky. If you are not patient enough for trial and error then you will easily give up; the worse thing is to end up your photography career. And if that’s the case, you will end up using Photoshop silhouette brushes as your alternative.
