Once you’ve unboxed your brand new retina ready iPad, one of the first things you’ll most likely want to do (at least, if you’re anything like me) is to customise it to suit you by changing the wallpaper. The new iPad comes with an HD screen, an ultra-high resolution display that Apple has branded “the retina display”.
It fits more pixels into the same screen size, which can result in pin-sharp text and extremely clean and crisp designs. To make full use of your new high definition screen, though, your background wallpapers will need to have double the dimensions of what the original iPad and the iPad 2 used – otherwise the image will appear to be fuzzier than it should be.
Rather than choosing the default wallpapers that come included with the new iPad, we thought you’d probably prefer to have backgrounds that the rest of the crowd aren’t using – something a bit more special, inspiring and unique (near enough) to you.
